Imperial Electronic stocks LED panel indication lights in the three standard panel cut-outs — 10mm, 16mm, and 22mm — so you can match the indicator to the space you have on the enclosure face. All three mount through a single drilled hole and are available in red, green, and yellow, with blue also offered on the 22mm IME range.

Every unit uses long-life LEDs rather than filament or neon lamps, drawing 20 mA or less, which means they run cool, survive constant switching, and don't need replacing every few months the way old pilot lamps did. Voltage options cover 12V DC and 24V DC for battery, UPS, and control-circuit work, plus 220V AC for mains-fed panels.

Termination differs by size, and it's worth checking before you order. The compact 10mm lamps terminate by soldering or a thimble connection, suiting PCB and light control work, while the 16mm AD16-16C and the IME 22mm AD16-22DS both use screw terminals for fast, secure wiring straight into a panel. The 22mm unit is built to IEC 60947-5-1 and EN 60947-5-1 and carries the CE mark.

Buying Guide

Pick the size from your panel, not the product list — measure the cut-out you have or intend to drill, since 10mm, 16mm, and 22mm are not interchangeable once the hole is made. Larger is easier to see from a distance, so 22mm suits machinery and boards read from across a room, while 10mm is for tight fascias and compact instrument panels. Next match the voltage exactly to the circuit you're tapping: a 12V DC lamp wired to 220V AC will fail immediately, and a 220V AC lamp on a 12V rail simply won't light. Then settle the wiring: choose screw-terminal 16mm or 22mm units for panel work where the lamp must be serviceable, and the solder/thimble 10mm units for permanent low-voltage builds. Finally, keep the colour convention consistent across the panel — green for healthy or running, red for fault or live, yellow for warning, blue for a secondary state — so an operator can read the board at a glance.
