Relay Bases

Screw-terminal and PCB-mount relay bases for round 8-pin & 11-pin, G2R, LY2/LY4, and MY2/MY4 plug-in relays — DIN rail, panel, and board-mount sockets.

Imperial Electronic stocks relay bases for every common plug-in relay footprint — round 8-pin and 11-pin, G2R-1 and G2R-2 (Omron/Finder-compatible), and the LY2, LY4, MY2, and MY4 families — so the relay itself stays a removable, replaceable part instead of a permanent fixture wired straight into the panel or board. Every base in this range accepts a standard equivalent relay without any custom wiring: match the pin count and mounting style, and it drops straight in.

Two mounting styles cover the whole range. Panel and DIN-rail bases terminate field wiring on screw terminals, so a control circuit can be wired up once and the relay itself swapped, tested, or replaced without touching a single wire underneath — several also carry a yellow tool-free retaining clip that locks the relay in and releases it with a squeeze. PCB-type bases solder directly onto a board instead, keeping the heat of assembly off the relay's internals and letting it be unplugged for testing or field repair without any desoldering.

Round 8-pin bases like the PF083A are the same socket used by the ST3P analogue and DH48S digital timer relays in our Timers range, so stocking one covers both a spare relay socket and a timer base.

Buying Guide

Start with the relay you already have or plan to buy, and match its pin count and footprint exactly — round 8-pin and 11-pin bases are not interchangeable with the square G2R, LY, or MY footprints, and a relay simply won't seat on the wrong base. Next decide the mounting: choose a screw-terminal panel or DIN-rail base wherever the relay needs to stay serviceable after installation — a control panel, a machine enclosure, anything an electrician will open again — and a PCB-type base only where the socket is being soldered permanently onto a board and the relay itself is the only part that should ever come out. If you're fitting a DIN-rail enclosure, check for a base with a spring-loaded or retaining clip so the relay locks in without extra hardware; for direct panel mounting, note the screw reference (e.g. 2-M4×20, 2-M3.5×10) printed on the base so you order the right screws.
