KCD-4 Rocker Switch 6-Pin On/Off/On Centre Off (DPDT)

This heavy-duty KCD-4 gives full double-pole double-throw switching across three positions, with a genuine centre-off between the two live states. Because both poles change over together, it is the correct part for polarity reversal — swap the feed to a DC motor and it runs the other way, with a safe neutral position in between. The positions are silkscreened I, O, and II on the black flame-retardant housing, and six spade or solder terminals carry 16A at 250V AC or 20A at 125V AC. It is used heavily in the manufacture and repair of children's electric ride-on toys for forward/reverse control, in polarity-reversing circuits for linear actuators and DC motors, for dual power source selection between mains and battery or generator backup, and in custom automotive, marine, and RV dashboard panels.
